Bigjigs® Toys are attempting to break the Guinness World Record™ for the Longest Wooden Toy Train Track at The Historic Chatham Dockyard on the 26th July 2012.
The Bigjigs® Toys team will be using over 10,000 pieces of Bigjigs® Rail track to build the world’s longest wooden toy train track. The current record stands at just over 1650 metres, with Bigjigs® Toys attempting to reach the feat of 2012 metres.
The Guinness World Record™ attempt is to be adjudicated by two independent witnesses who will be supervising to ensure the attempt meets the required guidelines. Spectators are invited along to cheer on the Bigjigs Toys team from 10am onwards for free of charge, where they are expected to complete the attempt by 4pm. Members of the public can be a part of the monumental challenge by sponsoring pieces of wooden track for just £1 each; with all proceeds being split equally between Chatham Dockyard Locomotive Restoration Fun and Demelza House Children’s Charity.
